These vintage jet glass and silver earrings are bursting with the jazz age style and sparkle. So, we named them after the Oheka Castle, the mansion used in the filming of Great Gatsby.

Finished in 1919, the main building had 127 rooms and sat on a 443-acre plot. Its owner was a renowned arts patron who supported jazz-age musicians and artists.

When the Roaring Twenties fell to the Great Depression, many Gilded Age mansions like this were sold, neglected, or demolished, which reminds us of one of Fitzgerald’s most famous lines, “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

In this piece:

  • Vintage Czech jet glass octagons with silver luster
  • Silver-plated brass settings stamped today in the USA in vintage dies
  • Lead-free silver-plated brass eurowire closures
  • Hangs 1 1/2”
