This stunning necklace features a beautiful bounty of vintage jet glass and gold luster buttons originally made to decorate mid-century women's dresses. We especially adore the Cherry Brand glass button made in Osaka by Japanese rice farmers moonlighting as glass artisans during the American occupation after WWII.

In this piece (from left to right):

  • Jet & goldstone Cherry Brand glass cabochon, made in Japan between 1945 & 1951
  • Shaved jet glass & gold luster button, made in Czechslovakia, circa 1950
  • Engraved jet glass, made in Czechoslovakia, circa 1950
  • Hand-pressed jet glass & gold luster button, made in Czechoslovakia, circa 1950
  • Shaved jet glass & gold luster button, made in Czechoslovakia, circa 1950
  • Five brass-plated pewter castings, made today in the USA
  • Antiqued brass chain
  • Length is 16" with a 4" extender
