We love dragonflies because they're symbols of transformation, renewal, joy, and self-realization. This golden dragonfly flying in a sage green pool is a testament enduring talent of the few remaining Czech button artisans. It was hand-pressed in antique molds using centuries-old manufacturing processes. (Read more on Grandmother's Buttons's Buttonology Blog: A Passion for Czech Glass.)

The dragonfly hangs from a single antique button. Every antique button is a one and only, chosen just for you, and so will not be identical to the image. It also features a sliding clasp that enables you to adjust its length for any neckline and can be worn as a choker, as a long pendant, doubled up, and secured in front.

In this piece:

  • Small antique brass button, circa 1880-1918
  • Large sage green glass dragonfly button hand-pressed in the Czech Republic
  • Two brass stampings made today in the USA in antique dies
  • Antiqued brass chain
  • Chain adjusts from a 15" choker to a 32" long pendant with a sliding clasp
